I am going to start writing in a journal using a calligraphy pen What size of nib should I use?

The style of writing I do is Spencerian script but I am not sure what size I should use for my journal I don’t want it to be extremely big but I want it about the size writing one would use on a regular notepad. I am left handed by the way so some of the nibs I want do not come for left anders so I have to work around that too.
