Who are some writers during the turn of the century? Help! Need ideas?
chocolateandyuna asked:
For a paper I need to compare 3/2 writers of the same era. I was thinking of comparing Arthur Conan Doyle to some other similar writer of the turn of the century. But I cant think of any. On another note I was also thinking of comparing Edgar Allen Poe to someone of the same era, but again I’m having trouble finding anyone. If someone could help that would be great! Or if you have any other ideas that’s cool too.

How about Jules Verne and H. G. Wells? They’re both science fiction writers and they were both writing at the turn of the century (20th).

Oscar Wilde is one of them.
It will be interesting to compare Conan Doyle and Wilde. Both are known for creating two unique characters – Sherlock Holmes by Doyle and Wilde created Dorian Gray.
Holmes was cold, calculating and unemotional.
Dorian was Self-loving, beautiful and very ‘loving’….
Best Of Luck!
