   I think what you are referring to is the Writers & Artists Yearbook published every year by A & C Black Publishers. Check out for more information about publishers and agents who are looking for freelance writers. Good luck and god bless!

   Writer’s Digest (publisher of Writer’s Market) has many offshoot publications now, such as Poet’s Market, etc.

   Their online Writer’s Market includes everything in Poet’s Market, Novel & Short Story Writer’s Market and Children’s Writer’s & Illustrator’s Market.

   Writer’s Market describes the periodicals that are accepting submissions (including professional journals) and publishes the information on what type of submissions are desired by the publications (as submitted to Writer’s Market) by the editors of said publications.
