What is your favorite quote about writing or literature?

cpenrod19 asked:

As a going away gift for the summer, I am giving my boyfriend a Moleskine. He loves to write, and as he is working on an old whaling ship this summer I thought it would be a good place for him to record his experiences.
I want to add a quote on the inner cover – something inspiring, or a piece of advice, that pertains to writing. But I do not even know where to begin!
Any suggestions would be great!

I’m a bit of a quote “collector,” and this one is probably my all-time favorite.

Hi! One of my favorite quotes is “Books are a narcotic” by the (Great!!!) Franz Kafka (whom I loved to read during my teenage years) and I guess It´s true: I just can´t get enough of a good book and I feel kind of sad when it´s finished. Take care!!!
