I have a lot of great story ideas. I used to write stories as a kid (in German, I am from Switzerland). Now I would like to write stories in english. I think my english is pretty good, after having lived in the States now for 7years. Sometimes I start writing a story and then quit after only a paragraph. Then I open up a book and read, and notice how different the writing is. There are just so many terms that when reading I am well familiar with, yet when it comes to writing on my own, I don’t include them in my vocabulary, or am not sure how to use them. How can I improve that, so that I would be more motivated to write down my stories and who knows, maybe even have a book published some day? My story ideas are really great and I just want them to get out there for people to read!

I have all of these story ideas in my head but as soon as I start writing it down (on paper or on the computer) I just lose my inspiration. Does anybody know a way that I can get rid of my writers block?
