What are some tips to teach writing to elementary students with learning disabilities?
Wednesday, July 1st, 2009I am a special education teacher and I believe I do well at creating a safe, orderly community within my classroom. I also have done a decent job of promoting student achievement in math and reading- decoding and comprehension. However, i struggle to get my students to produce quality writing pieces. We are supposed to teach the writing process (prewriting, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing) in the workshop model. What kind of modifications can I make for them to be successful in writing and producing written work?
